The Whitney Home, c. 1826
Kirtland, Ohio
In its over 175-year lifetime, the home of Kirtland area businessman, Newel Whitney, had undergone radical changes. We partnered with Elwin Robinson & Associates to conduct extensive research and field investigations that would return the home to its original appearance. Historically accurate detailing and appropriate building materials were used to construct missing building components while preserving the original building fabric. It's currently open to the public as a house museum.
