A catalyst for new rehabilitation activity in and around Akron's Main-Market Historic District, the United Building has helped to preserve the architectural heritage of the area. We prepared specifications for proper cleaning and restoration of the exterior limestone, brick, terra cotta, and the copper cornice and spandrel panels. In addition, we conducted paint investigation in the historic lobby and prepared bid documents for the restoration of the historic decorative paint scheme.
