The Wooden Rosettes
These wooden rosettes were part of the Sanctuary's historic pipe organ, which was shipped to Quebec to be restored. Prior to shipping, we removed the wooden rosettes to be molded and refinished. We poured urethane molds and created plaster casts. Once the casts cured, they were sanded, sealed and a wonderful faux finish was applied. After completion, they were chemically stripped to removed the original dark finish, then stained to match the finish on the newly restored pipe organ.
The Heating Register
We artfully applied the same pattern as the flooring to hide the modern register within its historic context.
