The Stencil
As part of an extensive restoration project, the original finishes of the church meetinghouse were investigated and restored. The stencil was recreated by piecing together small sections of the original stencil found under door casings. The remainder of the original stencil had been washed away prior to repainting the sanctuary years ago. A six foot mock up was completed with colors matched to the original stencil, then it was applied to the entire meetinghouse.
